ABBY IN THE NEWS

Hi Everybody,
Sorry I haven't Posted anything for a while.  I have been busy catching up on Reading 'TRUE SPIRIT' (Jessica Watson's Book), and also Lots of Other Articles and Stories about all of these Amazing Young Sailors.  I'm also putting together a Wall map with all the Voyages marked on it.  To date, I have really only marked in Them in with Pencil, but have started to Mark Them in a more Professional Manner.  I also intend to place little Sticky Note Tags at various points of the Voyages.  When I have finished it, I'll Post A Photo of it on here.


It may seem to be that I am Writing to myself, but even though I have No Official FOLLOWERS as at the time I Posted This Entry, I am sure that there have been numerous people View My BLOG.


Anyway, I'd like to share a little Message that I Sent to ABBY

Abby, I've just been reading your Story in The OPRAH Magazine. I'm only about half way through it, and I can tell you, that I am honestly gaining more respect and support for you with Every Paragraph that I read. Please don't misunderstand: I have Always felt more support, and had more respect for you and what you have attempted, and what you have since achieved, than you could probably ever imagine. However, reading this Story, which more or less covers a summarised portion of your Timeline, and with it being all in one story, makes me even More Intrigued and about your Adventurous Life and Dreams ( ... ??? .. Does THAT make any sense to you ... ? ... lol ... ).
Anyway, every part that I read that explained something you said or you were doing, really made me fill up. Then, as it continued on into your Voyage, I really started to get tears in my eyes, and I couldn't see clearly out of my tear filled eyes to be able to finish reading it in one attempt.
Like I said in a previous Message some time back, and on my BLOGGER which I Set Up Dedicated to You (& Zac), and Laura ..... When I heard the News about You And WILD EYES Being In Trouble, it was as if it was My Own Sister out there.

A Quick Hello :)

Hi Everyone,

I'm not much of a Writer on here yet.  Sorry about that.  I've been busy trying to catch up reading all the Fantastic Blogs of Jessica Watson, Abby Sunderland and Laura Dekker.  I am enjoying them all very much, and would really like to extend my Support and Congratulations to them all.  I would like to also Congratulate Jessica on the Success of Her Australian Tour and her USA Tour; and Congratulate Abby on her Success in the Lake Huron Yacht Races, and Congratulate The Skippers as well.  In addition, I would like to wish Laura all the best on her Voyage.

I don't mean to neglect recognition of the Boys, but it was Jessica who really brought out my Interest in Solo Circumnavigation.  I have always supported all those who partook in such, prior to Jessica, but I never reall actually FOLLOWED Them.  Thanks Jessica ... and Thanks to Abby as well who extended my interest and to Laura for encouraging me to keep following Young Achievers like them all.

So Come On All You Young Achievers . . .

ZAC SUNDERLANDS VOYAGE

When zac sailed Around The world, I was unable to FOLLOW Him Online because of Internet limitations on My PC. I Followed Jessica Watson, with limitations because i was still on Dial-Up Internet until about a month or so ago.  I attempted to Follow Abby, but again was unable to do it Online because of PC Problems:  Although I was with her in my thoughts, All The Way.  I am now an Avid Follower of Jessica, Abby and Laura Decker.  although I may bot Comment on All Their BLOGS, I read as many of them as I can and Comment when I can; but again, I Support Them All The Way.


Today I checked out Zac's BLOG and took a look at the Animated(for search of a better term) GOOGLE EARTH ROUTE MAP, where you can Click on a Movie Camera Icon and it Automatically takes you along his voyage, stopping at numerous points along the way.  I would recommend for everybody who hasn't done so yet, to check it out:  It is Absolutely Fantastic - Well Done Zac  :)

Now, reading Those Words of yours  (Jessie) - about Sister Week, You have brought back those memories; and tears came to my eyes once more, thinking about it all over again; and trying to imagine (although I suppose that would not really be altogether possible), how You (Jessie) Must Have Felt during Those Tough Days.

 . . .  So, I also encourage everyone who Felt Like I Did At The Time Abby Was In Danger ... to COPY & PASTE  The Above 3 paragraphs to Their Own FB STATUS, and Leave It There for 4 Days ..... 1 Day for each month that Abby was At Sea (She was At Sea for about 4 Months).  Hopefully, by this being done, there will be New Posts of it appearing for some time to come ..... and it will show Abby how much Support She Really Has.  I'm sure there's A Lot More People Who DO SUPPORT Her than She Could Ever Imagine.

Below is The Full Message which I Posted to Jessie Sunderland in Recognition To Her Thoughts (in the form of a COMMENT regarding Her Words about SISTER WEEK)

awwwww  :)  ..... That Is Really Beautiful Jessie  :)  ... I'd like to think as Abby like a Spiritual Sister.  I really felt sorry for her when I heard that she was in trouble in the Indian Ocean, and I was really upset when I heard that She had to Call Off her Voyage.  Then, when I heard that she was Lost, it really brought tears to my eyes ... BUT ... Then ... When I heard that The Airbus 360 had Found Her, and that She was Alive and Safe, that Sadness turned to Tears of Joy; but even more so when She was On Board the Rescue Boat.  There are lots of people out there who complained about Australia having to Go To Her Rescue, and about The Enormous Expense:  My response to that was ... " Damn The Expense ... ABBY'S LIFE IS AT STAKE !!! " . . . 

 . . Now, reading Those Words of yours (about Sister Week), You have brought back those memories, and tears came to my eyes once more, thinking about it all over again; and trying to imagine (although I suppose that would not really be altogether possible), how You Must Have Felt during Those Tough Days.

So, because I have only just seen Those Beautiful Words of Yours Jessie, I'd like to REPOST it on Your Wall:  However, I'll Add A Little Bit at the beginning of it, explaining why I didn't Post It on Your Wall on 3rd or 4th of August.  I am Also going to POST It on MY BLOGGER Page (together with The Words I Have Written Here) ... and Dedicate That Blog Message to ABBY and YOU.

I have Told Abby in BLOG MESSAGES and FB Profile Comments, that I KNOW That She CAN And WILL ACHIEVE Her DREAM (of Sailing Solo Around The World), and I Truly Believe That She Won't Let Us Down.  People have said, and are still saying, That She Failed on Her First Attempt:  That's not Quite Correct ..... Abby Didn't Fail ... She Just Had To Reschedule Her Goal . . . . . She has Already Achieved Her Dream in One Way ... SHE DID SET OUT To Sail Around The World Solo .... So She has Just Needed To Reschedule When She Will Complete It.

I wish Her All The Best and I'll Be FOLLOWING Her ALL THE WAY When She  " SETS SAIL TO SUCCEED !!! " ... :)

You Must be Very Proud of Her  :)  ..... I know I am, even though we are only Facebook Friends.  I hope Abby and I can CHAT in Person on here occasionally, and when she Does Set Sail Again, Jessie - If you see me Online, and You feel lonely for your Sister, and it's not a practical time of day or night for you and her to Chat Online (or by Phone), please feel free to POKE Me on FB or Just Open a Chat Window, and I'll Chat as long as you need to (Time of day/night  Permitting ... LOL):  And please tell Abby to feel free to do the same.

You and Abby have A Wonderful and Happy Life As Sisters and (Obviously) Best Friends.
